ONE OF Chrysler’s spectacularly successful MagicWagons, Plymouth Voyager offers a new ‘‘LX’’ decor package, a new standard engine and five new exterior color choices for 1988. The Plymouth Voyager and companion Dodge Caravan MagicWagons remain unlike any vehicles built in North America. They are still unique, front- wheel-drive family wagons design- ed for the efficient transportation of people and cargo with passenger car comfort and driving ease and with traditional Chrysler durabili- ty, dependability and performance. There are three 1988 Plymouth Voyagers — the standard Voyager, a highline Voyager Special Edition (SE) and premium Voyager Limited Edition (LE) — on two different wheelbases. The standard Plymouth Voyager is built on a 2,845 mm (112.0-incht) wheelbase. Overall length is a compact 4,468 mm (175.9 inches). Although it is designed to carry from five to eight passengers, Voyager’s trim exterior dimensions permit it to fit into a K-car sized parking space or a conventional residential garage. {Introduced in mid-1987, the ex- tended-wheelbase Plymouth Grand Voyager is 371 mm, or 14.6 inches ionger than the standard-wheelbase model. Overall length is 4,839 mm (190.5 inches). Wheelbase is 3,023 mm (t19.0 inches) -- seven inches tonger than the standard wheelbase version. Plymouth Voyager's new-for- 1988 LX decor package features soft two-tone front and rear fascias and red or gold upper body side and rear liftgate stripe appli- que. Wide, bright lower bodyside ‘‘cladding’’, bright) wheel lip moldings, 4 ‘‘medium mist’? color sull applique, dual bright liftgate molding and bright, narrow moldings on the front fender ex- tensions and rear quarters are also included in the sporty Voyager I.X package. A set of four [5-inch ‘lace’ aluminum wheels round out thie features that clearly identify the 1988 Plymouth Voyager LX.
