THE Scott Flyers remain the
only undefeated team after
three weeks of action in the
North Shore Industrial
Hockey league.

The Flyers opened up the
season with a victory over the
Wagner Raiders, then surpris-
ed everyone with a solid 3-1
victory over the reigning
champion Raven Rangers.

The North Shore. News
started with a victory over the
Miller Lites, and then lost to

the Togo Hawks.

The News then played the
Scott Flyers to a 2-2 draw. The
News took a 2-0 lead on goals
by Owen Spooner and Mike
Schemmer before Scott Flyers
came back to score two goals
with six minutes left in the
game,

The News next played the
Wagner Raiders and skated
off with a convincing 5-!
victory.

The Togo Hawks started

the season on an impressive
note with a 3-0 shutout victory
over the Avalon Canadians.

Doug Whitelow played well
in the nets, robbing the
Avalon = on numerous
occasions.

The News put up a good
fight in their next game but
came up on the wrong side of
a 5-3 score.

This past week the Hawks
were soundly beat by the
Raven 7-4,

The Avalon Canadians
posted back-to-back victories
in their opening game..

Their first a tight 3-2 win
over Lites. This past week
Milan Nany and Laurie Met-
calf scored two goals apiece
pacing the Avalon toa 7-2 vic-
tory over the Lynnwood
Chasers, Randy Johnstone
scored both Chaser goats.

Elsewhere the Wagner
Raiders spotted Miller Lites a
2-0 lead but had to settle for

a 2-2 tie. They started with a
loss to the league leading Scott
Flyers but came back to defeat
the Lynnwood.
