Alumni to run for SFU THE SIMON Fraser Univer- sity Alumni Association is holding a 10-kilometre Fun-Run on September 29 at 10 a.m. , John Hill, the meet’s director, is enthusiastic: “We invite all members of the running public to join us at SFU — along with our alumni and friends."’ Hil! exptains that the Alumni Fun-Run is part of celebrations for Simon Fraser University’s 20th an- niversary. “The Alumni Association ssanted to hold an event to ' bring together runners from the university community, and runners from all around the Lower Mainland.” An SFU alumnus himself, Hill is currently the Run Canada B.C. delegate, and was B.C. Marathon champ in 1978, 1980 and 1981. The run has five categories: Open Men and Women, SFU Faculty and Staff Men and Women and Masters. There will be prizes for the first in all categories, plus draw prizes. Entry fees are $7 preregistration and $10 on race-day. All registrations include a T-shirt. Proceeds from the run will support alumni programs, including the scholarship and bursary’ fund.
