Al6 - Sunday, December 2, 1984 - North Shore News FOR HEALTH UNIT Municipalities, boards wrestle with cost change IF THE three North Shore municipalities receive the go ahead from the North and West Vancouver school boards, the North Shore Union Board of Health’s cost sharing agreement could go through a major shift in early 1985. The present funding for- mula calls for a 38 per cent contribution from the municipalities and 62. per cent from the school boards. Under the new agreement, the two sides would con- tribute on a 50-50 basis. The Dhistrict’s secretary-tr- easurer, John Cassey told the North Shore News the staff report is not expected until January. The two school districts are expected to base their annual contributions on the rauo of full tume equivalent pupils in each school district to the total full time equivalent’) pupils in both school districts during the preceeding year. Municipal contributions are based on the ratio of the population of each municipality to the collective population of the three North Shore municipalities as established in the most recent census taken by Statistics Canada.
