unintentionally told the
wrong story.

The pump ata North Van
gas station had been hit by a
car which left the road. The
gentleman shown surveying
the damage, Karl Stefan,
was simply a spectator who
happened to be at the scene

of the accident. ,
Mr. Stefan has since . : J iBE& « - oo

received many phone calls
from acquaintances teasing
him about knocking over the
pump. He was not the-driver
of the car in question and
was: Bot -involved: in the
accident in any way.

The News apologizes to
Mr. Stefan for any em-
barrassment and annoyance
the picture may unwittingly
