needs more volunteers

The Long Term Care
Program, North Shore
Health Department, has
embarked on a new
volunteer program. Mrs.
Marlene Meyers has

recently been appointed as

coordinator of volunteers.
The immediate focus of

this new project is to

develop a volunteer program
to extend and enhance Long
Term Care services. There-is
a great need for volunteer
involvement with elderly or
handicapped people, who
live alone, or in Long Term
Care facilities, or in
situations where there is a
need for increased social

contact.

They need a warm human

being to help them. They
need a fnend. If you want an
opportunity to learn and
grow, to meet new people,
to do something worthwhile,
there are people who need
you.

couple of hours a week, day,
evening, or week-end,
