back yard can be con-
structed easily and is a
project) which will not
damage your pocketbook.

There is nothing especially
difficult about the plan, but
you'll have to follow the
instructions carefully.

Pine and spruce are the
ideal types of wood to use,
and you don’t have to be too
selective in the quality since
the trellis will be outdoors.

When you have completed
the job of cutting and
assembling you can select a
good location for the trellis.
All that remains is to “true
up” and secure, by driving
stakes into the ground and
using nails or bolts. You'll

Marlins Swim Club in the

Swim Meet held July 5 and 6
in Ladner.

Cruisers under strong
coaching from Agnes Baker
and Jacqui Parnell were led
by Candace Heinrich, Janet
Oakes, and Kevin Colbow
who were cach winners of
the aggregates in their age
groups.

Corin Hopkin (11/12
boys), Karen Colbow (11/12
girls) and Agnes Baker (17
and over girls) were all

runners up in their classes.

In addition to those
mentioned above, first
places by Conway Hopkin
(13/14 Boys Fly), Brian
Lehman (11/12 Boys SO
Breast) and firsts in 9/10
girls Medley and Free
Relays, contributed to the
Cruisers point totals.

New pool records were set
by Candace Heinfich and
Janet Oakes with two cach
and Coach Agnes Baker with
one.

Cruisers are now working
towards the Vancouver and
District Finals and the B.C.
Chanpionships in August.
