form shoes, leg warmers, and

their identity while letting Glamour
take a swipe at their poor fashion
sense.

Glamour Dos & Don'ts Hall of
Fame not only needles fashion faux
pas, it catches some of Glamour's
own miscalls. The jeans it called
“too casual for city streets” back in
1968 have become the classic
American staple. And the “Twiggy”
look it called «a Do (replete with
ankle socks and strap shoes) seems,
in retrospect, a Don’t.

Some Dos are, of course, exem-
plars of style; that’s why Glamour
named them to its Do Hall of Fame.
