Jump Into A Vanpool

Vanpools are a great way to safely commute while enjoying a hassle-free, |
environmentally friendly ride with friends and co-workers. Vanpools are

_how admitted to Bus Only lanes in six locations in the lower mainland.
As a vanpool rider you can share the lane with buses, bypass traffic in the
regular lanes and get to your destination sooner.

‘What Is A Vanpool?

* a group of six or more people who travel together in a vehicle which has
. seatbelt provision for all users ’

Where Are The Lanes?
Signs will be positioned at the following locations:
° Highway 17 Northbound between Ladner Trunk Road and the
interchange at Highways 17, 99 and River Road;

* Highway 99 Northbound the interchange at Highways 17, 99
and River Road and Southbound between Westminster Highway and
Steveston Highway;
© Highway 7 Westbound between Harris Rd. and Dewdney Trunk Rd;
* Marine Drive Westbound at the bus loop and Eastbound at the
‘bus lane, both immediately north of the Lions Gate Bridge.

How Do I Use The Lanes?
Watch for the vanpool signs and:
* follow the diamond symbols which designate Bus Only lanes on the
highway in the above locations
° obey all signs and signals, and pay particular attention to lane
control signals at intersections
Note:
RCMP will enforce the occupaney and speed limits and will ticket offenders.
