Wearable art show on this — weekend THE ELEGANT Brock House Restaurant on the Ocean in Kitsilano will play host to the fifth annual Wearable Art Show this Saturday, Dec. 3, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The show will showcase one-of- a-kind jewelry and fibre art created by artisans from across Western Canada. Set up in a.walk-through gallery format throughout this heritage facil- ity. the show gives guests the oppor- tunity to leisurely enjoy each of the 30 juried artisans’ works of art. Exhibits include recycled fibres made into Victorian clothing by North Vancouver’s Jan Stimpson: silk velour appliquéd clothing and accessories by Jerry McBride; hand- knit scenic sweaters by Lions Bay resident Marjorie Meredith; tapestry memorabilia by Mojo Stocker and appliquéd cotton sweats by Shannon Wardropper, both from the North Shore. | Proceeds from the event will ben- efit Ronald McDonald House.
