The BC. Festival of the Arts is the largest arts festival in Canada,
perhaps North America. It celebrates all facets of the arts: the
Dramatic and Performing Arts, Music, Visual and Speech Arts,
Video and Film. The interest generated by the 8.C. Festival of
the Arts extends far beyond the provincial boundaries; it has
become well known across Canada.

SUNDAY + WEDNESDAY -« FRIDAY

Every year the Festival grows in reputation and in size, and
this year, its eighth, will be the biggest and best. At the grass
roots level the Festival involves upwards of 150,000 performers
and volunteers in every British Columbia community. Funding
is provided by the Provincial Government, Ministry of
Municipal Affairs, Recreation and Culture through B.C. Lotto
funds. Minister responsible: The Honourable Lyall Hanson.
