Police officer dies

WEST VANCOUVER Police lost a valued member this
week when Const. Byron (Brian) David Hiebert, 39, diced
suddenly Thursday morning at his North Vancouver home,

Const. Hiebert first joined the
West Vancouver Police Depart-
ment Sept. #2, 1974. He spent
most of his time working in the
department's patrol section, and
was also one of the original
members of West Vancouver's
traffic section.

just great — hard working, sincere
and loyal — all of those adjectives
apply.”

Before joining West Vancouver
Police, Const. Hiebert served as a
metnber of the Canadian Armed
Forces Military Police from 1969
to 1974, He is survived by his wife
and daughier.
