GREEN, ON IONS on DOGWOOD LEAF BLIGHT

The last two years have been particuiarly hard on dogwood trees in the lower mainland.
California _ They have been attacked by a furigus which is first seen on newly emerged leaves in
: : spring. The leaves turn brown & wilt, and if left uncheciad can be fatal, developing into
. crown rot which splits the lower trunks. If you nave a dogwood, don't wait for the
damage to appear but apply a fungicide recommended by your nursery, as soon as the
new leaves appear. If your tree had this disease last year, a second & possibly third
fungicide application, at two to three week intervals, is recommended.
