the defence lawyer goes over the
basics of the defence.

_-he arranged his affairs?” (As in, “Is
“he ready to go to jail?”)

8. when the judge takes over

the cross examination of the
accused, (It seems as though the
_ judge just can’t hold back any —
-. longer.)

FOR THE PROSECUTING CROWR:

1. when the judge says “I’m not with
you on this one, Counsel” about a
main point of an argument.

2. when the judge is asleep.

3. when the judge throws his pen
over his shoulder and appears to gasp.

4. when the judge says “I don’t need to
hear from your friend (the
defence lawyer) That means the

“Go on then, make that argument, if
you wish.”

6. when the judge asks to deal with num-
