SOME OF THEIR closest friends still won’t believe
how they met, but Willene and Rob Hargrove met
each other through the personal ads of the North

Shore News.

That was last June. Since
then, they became engaged in
September, married in Oc-
tober and are planning a
romantic Valentine’s for
February.

An attractive and per-
sonable couple, they both

seemed to know what they
wanted in life, and that in-
cluded each other.

They say they read the per-
sonal ads quite regularly.

Willene, a nurse at Lions
Gate Hospital, had put the
odd ad in, but nothing
serious became of it. Rob, a
sales estimator for a steel
fabricating company, read a
lot of the ads and responded
to one of them but didn’t
receive an answer.

Until finally, through a

promotion at the News, Rob
decided to put in an ad of his
own,

But ‘‘all those ladies’’
turned out be be only one
lady, but luckily she was the
right ‘‘one lady’’. And Rob
still says ** | answered all the
responses to my ad, and mar-
ried all of them, too.”’
