“Run, Terry, Run"

“RUN, TERRY, RUN” is the
title of a song giving tribute
to the determination of
runner Terry Fox. Written
two years ago by Ross
Mullen, 23, of West
Vancouver, the song has
been chosen as theme song
for the Terry Fox Run, being
held this weekend.

Moved by the untimely
death of Terry, Ross quickly
wrote the song in a burst of
inspiration. It lay dormant
for some ame when two
fnends, Bob Kusch of the
West Vancouver Recreation
Centre and Norm Hansen of
Troy Music recognized the
beauty and value of the
song.

Recording it in Norm

dansen’s studio, Troy
Music, Recording Division,
the song took on a profes-
sional sound with Ross doing
vocals and keyboards.

Impressed by the tune,
both the Canadian Cancer
Society and the Fox family
have endorsed it and tapes
have been sent throughout
British Columbia and the
Yukon. In addition CKVU
TV will be playing it on the
morning of September 15.

“Run, Terry, Run” will
also be used in a
forthcoming movie of the
same name produced in
conjunction with the
Canadian Cancer Society.

Originally trained = in
classical music, Ross now
concentrates his talent in the
pop field with both writing
and recording when not busy
as a business administration
major at SFU.
