Brand 13th

David Brand of West
Vancouver placed 13th at
the Rocky Mountain Rally in
Calgary last weekend

His co-driver for the 500
km route was Tom Roy.
They drove a Toyota Cehca

Brand and Roy” were
scheduled to race in the
Mountain Trials yesterday at
Kamloops.

Brand came 18th out of 64
in a race at Olympia.
Washington, and fourth out
of 15 at Koksihah, Van.

Association, the North
Vancouver Soccer Club and
Capilano College, are

looking for

players and

coaches.

Tryouts for West Van-
couver Division 3 boys (born

in 1968),

for both Premier

and Centennial leagues, will
be held August 30 and
September 1 from 5 to 7
p.m. at Kiahanie Park.

The West Van Soccer
Association needs coaches.
Anyone who can help is
asked to call Ron Collins, at
669-2663 or 921-9131.

Boys and girls interested
in playing can call Suzanne
Christenson at 922-5433.

West Vancouver will be
holding its 12th annual
invitational soccer  tour-
nament from September 7 to
12 at most West Vancouver
parks.

There will be 104 teams,
both girls and boys, from all
over B.C. and from the
United States taking part.

Capilano College will kick
off its soccer program this
fall on September 8 when the
mens team meets the Grads
on the college field at 6:30
p.m.

New players wishing to try
out for the Blues are invited
to attend training sessions
from now until September 6.

Practice sessions for the
women's team will begin
Tuesday, Sept. 7, at the
college field.

Players, male or female,
interested in joining the
Capilano College soccer
program are asked to call
Joe lacobellis at 986-1911,

possible.
The North Vancouver

Soccer Club will be having
skill testing and team tryouts
for 9 year old players at
Loutet Park, September |!
and 2 at 6 p.m. For further
