TEENAGE SUICIDE

Youth issues
to be discussed

A THREE part lecture/discussion
series addressing critical issues of
youth has been organized by North
Shore Continuing Education.

The lectures will be held at Car-
son Graham School, from 7:30-
9:30 p.m. Cost is $2 per session for
Students and $8 per session for
adults.

The following is a list of the lec-
tures.

© Oct. 2—Teenage Suicide with
Jeff Ballou. This presentation
deals with the sources of abnormal
adolescent stress, negative flight
reaction behaviors and indicators
of suicide potential.

* Oct.9—Kids, Parents and Drugs
with Brian Butcher. The
prevalence of drugs and alcohol
use/abuse by adolescents is so ex-
tensive that it touches all youth
today in one way or another. This
season will focus on drugs/alcoho!
as a normal developmental task of
youth.

© Oct. 16—Teenage Sexuality with
Maggie Pickering. A frank and
open discussion of the
developmental and psychological

importance of community.
