__ MAIL Box Park racial biases Dear Edit While searching for park- ing ar the Park Royal Mall, 1 had oa ssery disturbing encounter, [ feel it is impor- tant for me to bring this to the attention of the commu- nity, especially for future gen- erations if we are to Jive in harmony. Who got there first is a debatable question. I may have or she may have. I had already given way once before. I was in no hurry. I would have given way again, to the other car, into the parking spot. However, what irked me was that this person not only did nor. have the courtesy to gesture, by your leave, bu: had the audacity, once in the park- ing spot to come our and vell: “This is Canada, Behave like a C. ” Tam absolutely appalled by such disgusting, racist: com- ments. What made the “dear” lady think | was not Canadian? The brown color of my skin? Or maybe she was just under this very, very, backward iilu- sion that a Canadian is white? Whatever the reason, please let us refrain from mak- ing rude comments, especially with children around. If we want to teach racial harmony, let us practise it first.
