Head-on crash

A BUS was involved in a head-on accident on Highway
99 just north of Horseshoe Bay on Feb, 25.

The crash resulted in single-lane alternating traffic
for one hour during the afternoon,

A Mercury ‘Topaz travelling south collided with the
bus travelling north, according to a West Vancouver
Police spokesman,

The driver of the Topaz, a 21-year-old Lions Bay
man, was taken to Lions Gate Hospital with miner facial eeret
injuries, according to police. HRY AY AA?

No other injuries were reported. — . ,

The bus was not carrying passengers at the time of the
accident. The cause of the crash is still under investiga-
tion.

Assault conviction

A 28-YEAR-OLD Gibsons man was recently jaifed nine
months in connection with a charge of assaulting a
women with intent lo steal.

_- Robert Charles Greene was found guilty of the charge
stemming from a Dec. 7, 1993 incident in North
Vancouver City,

. He was prohibited from possessing firearms, ammuni-
tion or explosive substances for life in connection with
the conviction.
