BEAVER LUMBER has opened a new 1,000 square-foot kitchen and bath design centre on the top floor of their North Vancouver locaison, 915 West First St. BUSINESS BRIEFS Ken Boulis, who designed and planned the new kitchen and bath ‘showroom, said Beaver Lumber has had excellent response to its new feature. . “The rcsponse has just been phenomenal. People have been ex- tremely complimentary,"’ said Boulin. ‘“‘We have had tremen- dous support from the suppliers like Yie’s and the Salmon House en the Hill restaurants .who were in here during the grand opening with cooking demonstrations.”’ The kitchen and bath design centre features cabinets made by Merillet, a world-leader in custom cabinets, and Amera. ‘Beaver Lumber decided na- tionally last year that it would enter into a business relationship with Merillet,’’ said Boulin. FEDERAL FUNDING VANCOUVER-BASED McElhanney Geosurveys Ltd. will receive a $106,000 loan from Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) to help the com- pany market its products and ser- vices overseas. . The federal loan will help to pay for costs associated with opening an office in Malaysia which will sell geographic data collection and formatting software throughout southeast Asia.
