Duathlon is a 5-km run, 35-km
cycle, 5-km run using the base of
Blackcomb Mountain as its transi-
tion area. A shorter mountain
bike duathion will also be held.

SUNE 22-23: The 24-Hour Relay
kicks off at Swangard Stadium to
raise money for the B.C. Lions
Society for Crippled Children.

Teams of 20 people will run relay
style around the 2.5-mile course.

Knackering North Shore Trail

Run is a 30-mile run along the
Baden-Powell Trail from Horse-
shoe Bay to Deep Cove. Proceeds
will benefit the B.C. Children’s

Great Land/Sea race
set for next month

THE Jtth annual King Neptune's
Great Land and Sea Race is slated
to take place June 16 at Cates
Park in Deep Cove.

The race consisis of a four-
person relay team who run, cycle
and canoe or kayak a total of 10
kilometres. here are seven
categories a person or team can
enter, including a family category.

Sponsored by the Mount
Seymour Lions Club and the Deep

Cove Dollarton Community Pro-
grams Society, the race starts at 9
am. and entry costs SIS for
adulis or $8 for kids under 15
years.
