Shore heritage walk IF YOU'VE missed it don’t miss it this time. Once again, in conjunction with the District of North Vancouver heritage advisory committee, Roy Pallant, president of the North Shore Historical Society, will conduct a heritage walk on Sun- day, Feb. 23. ‘*Heritage from poet’s corner to the great divide’’ will acqaint par- ticipants with local history of homes, families and industry. The walk starts at 1 p.m. sharp from the Walter Draycott memorial at Lynn Valley Rd. and Mountain Highway. The waik will last three hours and cover approximately two km. Participants can expect to hear history and anecdotes about early Lynn Valley stores, the fire hall, the Presbyterian church, the Lynn before, Enjoy the magic of a real fire at the Valley schoofs and Hastings plan- ing mill and nine-acre pond on Mountain Highway. : Pallant will explain the histori- cal background and architectural features of heritage homes on Fromme and Ross Roads, and continue to Hunter Park to talk about the log collecting pond and channels on the Hastings creek system.
