With almost eight weeks remain- ing before the first ball is served at the 45-nation team tennis event, over 40,000 seats have already been sold as eight-day series tick- ets. Bob Moffat, the executive direc- tor of Tennis B.C., who doubles as Federation Cup tournament chairman, said recently that eight-day tickets are still available for the 6,600-seat stadium court that will host players such as Mar- tina Navratilova and Chris Evert of the United States, Steffi Graf and Claudia Kohde-Kilsch of West Germany, Argentina’s Gabriela Sabatini and Canada’s own Carl- ing Bassett and Helen Kelesi.
