MT 2380 20” Color By BETSY HOLT A VERY successful Provin- cial ‘‘B’’ Ringette Tourna- ment was held in Port Co- quitlam last weekend with 35 teams taking part in the fun. Teams came from Port Co- - quitlam, Aldergrove, North Shore Winter Club, Langiey, Prince George, North West Vancouver, Howe Sound, Richmond and Vanderhoof. In the Belle Division, the NW Van Bombers beat PoCo in the finals 6-4 and the North Shore Winter Club Tween Flyers beat out Howe Sound to do the honours in the Tween division. Prince George Knights of Columbus came first in the Petite level and Langley were the winners of the Jr. Belles. The combination of a strong defensive core, ex- cellent goal tending and a team of forwards that never gave up made it possible for the Bombers to be the provin- cial winners. On defense were Karen Redbourne, Julie Van der Speck, Aubyn Milliken and Wendy Wong with Laurie Ann Bethune as goaltender. The forwards were Jennifer Renault, North Shore Ringette Denise Taschereau, Lisa Bierlmeier, Sonia Berry, Nadine Bruskiewich, Margot Walker and Leah Ann Walis. Jim DeGeer has done a superb job of coaching these girls, with the help of Harry Renaud and Manager Jean Berry. Our Petite A’s finished up reguiar league play this weekend with a 4-2 loss to the Winter Club. Kelly Moore and Erin Bell each got a goal for NW Van. Excellent ef- forts were also turned in by Katie Mayrs, Katie Snow and Shani Beadle who played all three sticks.
