Richmond, who teaches surface design in the textile arts department at Capilano College, received the award at the Surface Design Association Conference, June 1-4 in Kansas City, Missouri. Richmond, who sells her work locally through The Crafthouse and the Canadian Craft Museum, was the only Canadian whose work was accepted for exhibition.
