of volunteer opportunities
available through North
Shore Community Services
(NSCS).

Mentors are needed to
assist. internationally trained
people with technical skill to
develop an understanding of
the local labor market and to
overcome employment barri-
ers. Volunteers will spend 2 to
3 hours per week with the
individuals.

A fitness instructor is
needed every Morday fron: ]

Pm. to 1:45 p.m. The

Instructor will lead a group of

10-20 seniors through a series
of simple exercises. The
instructor must be qualified.
Leisure companions are
needed to provide one-on-
one leisure support to people
who need a litde extra help.
A Big Brother is necded
for a vouth benveen ages of 7
and 12. Have fun together
doing joint activities of mutu-
al interest (ic. biking, hiking,
fishing, movies, ete.). Help fill
anced in a young boy’s life.

Drivers are needed to pick
meals up from a caterer at 4
p.m. and deliver them to vari-
ous North Shore Centres by
4:45 pam. Drivers must be
able ro lift 16 kg (35 Ib.) vac-
