a joint operation of Pars. But
has, since August 1995, been
all David Hassini’s baby.
Breads baked on premises.
Pastries and cakes from Milies
in West Vancouver. A bustling
midday lunch bar with counter
seating and assorted tables.
Two TVs pipe in sports and
other pop culture events.
Sandwich and baked goods
prevail. Big, plates; great quali-
ty. Hossini an extremely con-
genial host.

Location: Near the upper
end of the mid-Lonsdale com-
mercial zone.

Lunch menu: Salads
(Greek, Caesar, Pasta) Grilled
Sandwiches (Chicken, Turkey,
Tuna, Vegetables, Cheese,
Ham, Roast Beef) and entrees
(Artichoke Hearts, Chicken
Wrap, Veggie Wrap, Spicy
Potatoes, Pasta Primavera,
Marinated Chicken).

Don't forget the desserts.

Food quality: Excellent.
Great breads. Imposing, sand-
wiches, First-class lunch
counter fare, Sarapled Open
Face Ham sandwich featured
four thick slices of sesame seed
flat bread topped pizza-style
with tomato sauce, ham,
mushrooms, green bell pep-
pers and cheddar and moz-
zarella cheeses. Downed with a
side of Cheese and Broccoli
Suup. All for $7.50.

Spicy Potatoes: a large plat-
ter of grilled baby reds topped
with melted cheddar and
mozza, dusting of parmesan.
Lively, Hearty. Get it with a
side of Greek Salad,

Service: Brisk, with an
emphasis on friendliness.

Price: Soups. and starters
$3 to $5.50; Sandwiches all
$6.95, Entrees $7 to $10.
