Jesse David Tynan, 20, of North Vancouver, pleaded guilty to the March 6 break, enter and theft of a business in the 4300-block of Gallant Avenue. He also pleaded guilty to possessing a stolen vehicle on the same day. Police say Tynan took off and was caught by police dog Storm. Tynan was treated in hospi- tal for dog bites. Neighbors had earlier called police saying that two men with crowbars were inside a business at 4 a.m. At the time police were responding to an alarm at the business. in unrelated incidents, Tynan pleaded guilty to: @ breaching a recognizance by conlacting a male on Oct, 31. 1995 in North Vancouver District: @ dangerous driving on West 17th Street and other streets on Oct. 20, 1995 in North Vancouver City. North Vancouver provincial court Judge Jerome Paradis sentenced Tynan to concurrent one month and three month jail sentences for the breach and driving offences during court proccedings on March 27, The concurrent sentences mean that Tynan will not serve any extra jail time for those crimes. Paradis suspended Tynan’s licence for -12 months at the same time that the judge sen- tenced him to jail for 12 months. Tynan‘s apprehension in the Gallant Avenue burglary was one of the last jobs for police dog Storm. The dog became seriously ill a short time later after expe- riencing a second bout of pneu- monia.
