Police originally chought the
bones were dragged to the location
by a dog or some other animal. But
police now say it’s “improbable”
for an animal to carry two large
skeletal pieces to the same !ocation.

Babcock said there were no
marks on the skull that indicated it
had been carried in an animal's
mouth, but he said forensic investi-
gators are studying other marks on
the skull.

According to the police, a per-
son or persons may have left the
remains at the site.

Babcock said the skull appeared
to have been covered with leaves
and brush, and not buried deep in
the ground before being deposited
on the boulevard.

He said the skull had bleached
areas, indicating that a portion of it

Babcock said police recovered
two differing samples of blood
from Duggan’s apariment.

“Certainly a portion of the
blood was the victim’s, the other
standard (blood source) was
unknown,” said Babcock.

The North Vancouver RCMP
request anyone seeing suspicious
activity at 58th Avenue and Angus
Drive on Thursday evening, June
30, to contact Const. Brendan
Fitzpatrick at 985-1311.
