A 43-YEAR-OLD man charged
with four North Vancouver
church break-ins in 1995 und
1994 will be saying his prayers
in jail for the next 17 months.

Gary Douglas Alten, of no
fixed address, pleaded guilty to
committing burglaries at the
following churches:

@ North Lonsdale United
Church in June 1995.

® Lynn Valley United Church
on two occasions — in May and
August of 1995;

B Gloria Dei Lutheran Church,
in May 1994,

According to the North
Vancouver RCMP, Alien stole
five VCRs, two portable stereos,
petty cash, coins from a candy
machine, a flashlight, a pen set,
three packages of coffee and a
package of Canadian stamps
during the various burglaries.

NV man
sentenced

A 23-YEAR-OLD North
Vancouver man was recently
jailed 18 months in connection
with a business. burglary at
Huber Printing Ltd, 186
Pemberton Ave. in North
Vancouver District.

Kylie Douglas Prouse plead-
ed guilty to a charge of break,
enter and theft stemming from
a March 5, 1995, incident.

According to the North |
Yancouver RCMP, Prouse stole
a computer and laser printer
during the burglary.

Mr. Sherman W. Hood sen-
tenced Prouse on Jan. 17,
