Pianist to give concert for sick kids

DISCOURAGED BY the canditicn of medical facili-
ties in Russia while he was studying music there,
Norit: Shore’s Nicholas Maloff has rounded up his
musical family to do a benefit concert for sick
children in Russia.

The Sunday, Feb. 10 concert will feature classical
music, Russian romances and folk songs performed
by Nicholas and Natasha on piano, Tatians
Vasilieva, soprano, and Nicholas Sr. on accordian
and promises to be an entertaining afternoon, Show

time is 3 p.m. at the Russian Community Cenire at
2414 West 4th Avenue (near Arbutus) in Vancouver.

Tickets are $8 adults and $6 students. For further

Nicholas Maloff, an accomplished concert pianist,
is also giving a piano recital today (Wednesday) at
the Unitarian Church of Vancouver at tt a.m., at
949 West 49th Street in Vancouver. The concert is
sponsored by the Vancouver Ladies’ Music Club.
