Holler for
‘flat’ tax

Dear Editor:

I was most pleased to read Noel
Wright’s columns supporting the
idea of a ‘flat’ income tax.

The vested interests claim it
won’t wash or fly as it is not polit-
ically expedient. Why then, is it
okay in Hong Kong (but not in
Britain)?

Noel stated that ‘‘we’ll have to
holler loud and long for it.”*

Let’s start hollering! Maybe our
descendents will benefit.
