And so it is with restaurants. Take Bay Moorings. Seven years ago, ! would have said, please, take it indeed. For the initial Table Hopping experience at this Horseshoe Bay dining institution was an odd and unfortunate circumstances. Four forks, it was not. But, as they say in the restaurant trade, time heals all culinary wounds. A recent Friday night excursion to the Moorings found a renewed and re-energized restaurant that surely has the best summer dining balcony in Horseshoe Bay and probably one of the best on the North Shore. The restaurant's own regenera- tion, I suspect, is partially a result of younger members of the Tsogas clan, which owns the restaurant, adding their voices and tastes to the Moorings’ mix. That regeneration begins at the beginning: a refurbished ground- floor foyer greets patrons with bright tile, brass and glass. It continues with an updated wine list ($16 to $30) that contains quality selections from al} over Europe, North and South America and Australia; a half-dozen wines available by the glass ($4.25 to $4.50) and half fitre ($9.50 to combination of bizarre happenings @ oat @ go fe) = oO << peke = @ BY THE BAY... And it carries on still further with a menu that has been invigorated and expanded. fts focus is sunny Mediterranean, with a strong Greek accent. Menu sections include home- made pastas ($8.50 to $11 for everything from Linguini al Pesto to Fettuccine Natasha) and Gourmet Pizzas ($14 to $20, for 11 varieties that range from Vegetarian up to the Corinthian and the Seafood Delight). The menu’s main entree list {$13.50 to $18.95), meanwhile, concentrates on robust Greco- Roman lamb, chicken and beef dishes that are more than a match for the heartiest appetites, be they Greco-Roman or Greco-Horseshoe Bayan. There are also Seafood and Souvlaki subsections ($13.50 to $15.50) and a nightly fresh sheet of Specials 5:30 - 6:30 PM Includes: 2 PASTAS to choose from, 2 MAIN COURSES, Soup or Salad, Gourmet Italian Ice Cream Canmelos "Ristorante Italiano Wednesday, June 16, 1993 - North Shore News - 29 GENUINE AND CALIFORNIA STYLE MEXICAN FOOD AND FUN 2 ONE coupon pet group DINNER * Cannot be used with other Save up io: LUNCH Save up 10: coupons * NOT valid on special occasions including special parties New Year's Eve.
