This time it Is congratulations to our Junior Girls Ringette team for bringing home the Provincial Champtonship Pennant. This past month has been a busy one at the Club. On March 4-7 the NSI Com- mittee co-chaired by Suzanne Berry and Barb Sumner organized the 14th Annual North Shore Invitational Competition. Over a thousand skaters Participaicd in this prestigious eveni to the delight of over 3,000 spectators. Hundreds of hours of work by members of the committee ensured that this was one of the most successful NSI events ever held. Maaix' thanks! Not only were the figure skaters busy that weckend but in our racquets building hundreds of racquetball players from several loca] clubs participated in the 7th Annual North Shore Open Diane Blaney President Racquetball Tournament. Congratulations to Bob Bickerton and . the committee for a very successful event. In fact, they did such a great job of this tournament, that they have been asked to participate in hosting the 1993 Canadian National Racquetball | Tournament which fs scheduled to be held at vartous sites in the Lower Mainland May 24 to 30. It is estimated that as many as 600 competitors from all across Canada could be in attendance. The racquetball banquet was one of the first events with our : new partner in catering, Encore Catering. From all accounts, the | quality, quantity and presentation left nothing to be desired and: we can look forward to a very good working relationship. A spectal vote of thanks to our staff members who pulled together as only our Team can. It was an extremely busy weekend with NSI and the Racquetball Open both happening at the same | time and you came through with flying colours!
