MICHAEL Caster
argued with another
man over who would
shoot Mohammed
Mirhadi at a crowded
North Vancouver
movie theatre, a B.C.
Supreme Court judge
and jury heard —
Tuesday.

In a secretly taped confes-
sion, Caster. told undercover
RCMP Const. Keith Pearce
“thar J. M. “wanted to take
care of it.”

“When I took care of it,”
Caster said, “he was pissed off

~ with me for a while.”

Caster, 21, is on trial in
New Westminster. He is
accused: of the first degree
murder of Mirhadi. J.M. faces
the same ‘charge: in October.
A court order prohibits media

outlets from reporting’ the
full-name of the 20-year-old
North Vancouver man.

Pearce testified that Caster
used hand gestures to
describe how. he shot Mirhadi
and how Mirhadi reacted.

Caster said he fired three
shots, causing four wounds.

One bullet, he said, went
through Mirhadi’s hand and
head. Caster said he was moti-
vated by a “stupid” personal
matter that flared up qwo days
earlier, Mirhadi came to
Caster’s workplace at
Capilano Mall “with a couple
of Japs and Hindus,” Caster
said.

He said they went to the
parkade and Mirhadi slapped
him, The dispute was over the
quality of stolen stereo equip-
ment.

Caster said, “1 couldn'r
take anymore,” so he decided
on the spot to take action
when he unexpectedly saw
Mirhadi at the movie com:
plex.

He said he spent only half
an hour to plan the killing.
Caster told Pearce he was the
only person who knows
where the murder weapon’ —
a 9 mm semiautomatic pistol
— is hidden.

“Everybody has an idea it
