Ambleside: Overview: Easily — the biggest and most well-known of our north coast water spots, Ambleside offers plenty to see, plenty to do and plenty of space to do it in. Location: Near the south- - east corner of West Vancouver. Tura south at 13th Street off - Marine Drive, cross tie train tracks (if it’s around 10:20 a.m. wave at the Royal Hudson as it thunders past) and find a park- ing space. Another option is to park behind Park Royal and walk along a westward path to the beach. Be warned: if you take this route you forfeit your right to complain about any and all canines who greet you with a-sloppy, sandy kiss — you're “traveling through their - romping grounds, the Ambleside Dog, Park. . Baywatch factor: If it’s eye candy you're after this is the place to go. Well-ranned and well-oiled limbs abound —- this is the hot spot for those on the North Shore who wish to sec and be seen. If you have a quiet, relaxed beach style this is prob- ably not the place for you. But for those of you with a high- energy level or a yen for people- watching hurry down — before the summer ends.
