to Kits Beach, but you grab your
power wedge and slide down into

see the flag and things are locking
up as you stiffer: into your address
when, just at that moment, a clod
of earth lands on your ball.

ven a divot up with one of his
“practice” swings.

The question is: are you
allowed to remove the: divot?

Tryg Wenn, one of the golf pros
at Gleneagles Golf Course and
past-president of the BCPGA, isn’t
sure, but suggests that the golfer in
question should be allowed his
original position.

Duane Rutherford, an assistant
pro at Furry Creek Golf and
Country Club, says the divot is no
longer attached, is therefore soil
and has become a loose impedi-
ment that cannot be touched.
