The exhibit Factory direct sale set for next week TWO LONG-TIME North Shore residents are pooling theic talents to kick off a new fashion venture this Thursday. Ron Gilmore and Connie Leroux will open the doors of Fashion Corner to shoppers for factory direct sales from April 25 to April 28. The clothes on sale are designed and nianufactured at the Venables Street factory. According to Gilmore, women will be able to buy fashions from the factory shop for at least 50 per cent cheaper than the current retail prices. The designer for Fashion Corner, Gilmore has designed for such firms as Yofi Creations and Carriage Trade as well as done freelance designing for local retailers. Leroux may be known to many North Shore residents as the owner of Misty’s Tea Room in West Vancouver. The fashions will be sold at the factory shop only four days of each month in order to keep fabrics and styles seasonal and up to date. Although smaller sizes wilt be available, the emphasis will be on women in the size 14 to 20 range. Gilmore added that additional sizes — both large and petite -- wilt be made as warranted by de- mand. Styles will include jackets, skirts, pants, walking shorts and tops in a coordinated range of fabrics from fine wools to cottons with a small collection of loungewear made in 100 per cent cotton. Fashion Corner is compiling a - mailing fist to inform customers of future sales and provide an update of new fashions.
