The Seymour-Asumigaoka Friendship Society was founded in 1987 to foster friendship and co- operation between the residents of Seymour and a similar twin com- munity in Japan called Asumigaoka. The society has various activities promoting cul- tural understanding including stu- dent exchanges each summer.
