when youths steal car

TWO WEST Vancouver ju-
veniles will have to pay the
consequenc.s for their joy-
riding exploits early Tues-
day.

According to West Van-
couver Police, a police
roadblock was being con-
ducted at the intersection of
1ith Street and Marine Drive
at approximately 2:30 a.m.
February 26. A vehicle was
seen approaching the road-
block but failed to stop
when signalled to do so by
police.

The car and its occupants
fled the scene, but were soon
brought to a fast halt when
the car subsequently crashed
into two parked cars.

The combined ‘total of
damage to the cars
amounted ta $10,000, and
police soon /discovered: that
the car responsible for the
crash was stolen.
