THAT UNWIELDY lawn
you hate mowing, the iron-
ing that piles up every week,
the small repairs you need
done,. filing, handiwork, or
babysitting, could all be
done this summer by willing
students looking for work.

Acting as a North Shore
liaison for students and
employers, both residential
and business, the Communi-
ty Help and Information Ser-
vicé is operating a Youth
Employment Referral Ser-
vice at the West Van Com-
munity Centre.

Staffed by Capilano Col-
lege student June Madison,
the centre will be open
between 9:30 and 11:30 am
every day and between 8:00
and 9:00 pm Wednesday at
780-22nd Street (922-1311).

Already Madison has 50
students signed up but she
admits “it’s slow” getting
