15th Street’ was completely
destroyed in a firé which
spread to-a WV Rabbit
parked nearby and also
caused fire and smoke
damage to an apartment
building.

Two cars

were then

torched on the 100 block.

West 13th Street. A 1964
Rambler was totally
engulfed in flames and a
1972 Chrysler received
damage to the front seat
area.

Two more Cars were set on
fire in the 400 block West

Pedestrian

Charges are pending
against the driver of a car
which struck a pedestrian
walking on the roadway in
the 2200 block Mount
Seymour Parkway Saturday
evening.

The RCMP are in-
vestigating the arsons and
chief fire inspector for North
Van city, Larry Barker,
cautions motorists about
leaving their vehicles
unlocked. .

“Anybody leaving their
vehicle unlocked is leaving
themselves open for this sort
of thing,” he says.
