Highway pitch: WEST VANCOUVER-GARIBALDI MLA David Mitchell appeared as'u delegation before North Vancouver District Council Monday to urge participation in the planning for an express road-link to Whistler. Mitchell favors a third crossing of Burrard Inlet and a route along the east side of Indian Arm that would link with Highway 99 north of Squamish. Mitchell asked council to consider using the provincial Growth Strategies Act to plan a strategy and obtain a _ provincial response. He acknowledged that any plan would take years to implement and cost $1 billion but said it was _ unacceptable to do nothing because of growth and traffic safety on the North Shore. _ From page 3 game (deer, moose and elk) at. dis- “tances ‘greater than ‘100 metres (328 °° feet) away. io “The number-one precaution is to “know the implications . of. missing’ a target, .* said Favell, ‘referring to. wit- Tess’ {estimony. concerning safe hunt- ing. hunter on Bowen Island, adrnitted i in ‘his: Police § statement that he jes 150, ‘ Favell ‘said Lovett, an experienced , ecision expected Dec. 18 metres (492: feet) from the highway and area houses when he took a shot at a deer. “Was he exercising the proper stan- dard of care in hunting?"
