THE 1999 North Shore secondary schools’ rugby all-stars were selected by consensus of the senior boys’ rugby coaches. Citations were made without regard to the posi- tions played or classification of schools. There was no attempt to have a certain number of forwards and backs or to have quotas from AA or AAA-ranked schools. Sciection was based on consistency and ability in skill, teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership in school compe- tition. Collingwood won its second straight provincial AA championship with a 15-10 win over Abbotsford’s Robert Bateman secondary on Steve Bernier’s try with two seconds left. Carson Graham, meanwhile, finished fourth in the AAA tournament. The team won twice before losing to eventual champion Lord Byng 18-14 in a semi-final. Carson also lost the bronze medal game 31-18 to Oak Bay. Re ROBERTSON - i Handswerth Grade 12 number 8 AARON : SHANE HUGO AKEHTURST BECKER BELANGER.
