The City of North Vancouver
Engineering Department is being
considered for a 1994 Ethics in
Action Award for enlisting commu-
nity, members to help increase pub-
lic involvement in decision making.

working with city staff on the
Public Involvement Program,
which will ultimately give the pub-
lic a stronger voice in decisions
about park development, traffic and

parking provisions, and other local. :

The program. was established
this year by VanCity Credit Union
and the Workplace Ministry
Society.

The Awards will be presented
Thursday, May 5 at the Four
Seasons Hotel in Vancouver. The
keynote speaker will be Martin
Rutte, a psychologist who is gain-
ing recognition for his advocacy of
spiritual values in the workplace.
