HUNDREDS OF young ath-
jetes from the North Shore
travelled to the town of
Smithers last week to compete
in the 1994 B.C. Winter
Games.

_ And while all didn’t return with
a medal, the spirit and comraderie
of the annual winter games was
worth the trip.

ting Club athletes won seven
medals at the recent ‘15th annu-
al-North:Shore International
Skating competition.

The home-town haul included
five golds and two silvers.

Tanya Frydrysek captured the
gold in the pre-preliminary ladies’
event, while clubmate Elizabeth
Putnam ‘stood on top of the podi-
