evening's Silent Auction to Save
the Raintorests, which will feature
more than 200 items ranging from
an orginal sketch by Bateman and
an original Bill Reid paddle ta an-
tiques, jewelry, trips, services and
Brazil nut chocolates made from
an environmentally — sustainalble
extractive reserve in Brazil.

Last year’s Raintorest Benetit at-
tracted more than 1,000 people
and this year is expected to draw
close to 3,500, says Stewart, who
has booked the entire convention
toor of the hotel.

Performing musicians will in-
clude Doug and the Slups. Murray
Mctlauchlan and Long john
Baldry.
