funds for
charity

THERE ARE marathons, swim-
a-thons and triathlons. Now
make way for Vancouver's newest
physical challenge — the first ever
Interclub Acrob-A-Thon to raise
funds for Variety Club Kids.

On Monday, Feb. 12, seven of
the Lower Mainland’s leading
fitness clubs will come together to
hold a three-hour aerobics mara-
thon from 6 to 9 p.m. at the
Hellenic Community Centre, 4500

than 1,000 fitness enthusiasts are
expected to take part.

For a minimum $5 donation to
the Variety Club, participants will
be put through the workout paces
by some of Vancouver's finest
fitness instructors, including a
number of competition champions.

There promises to be something
for people of every fitness level in-
cluding everything from slow
stretches and low impact workout
to very funky funk. In addition,
participants will be treated to
refreshments and everyone will be
eligible to win the door prize.

Tickets are on sale on the North
Shore at the West Vancouver Rec-
reation Centre on Marine and 21st,
926-3266.

A car pool will leave from the
West Vancouver Recreation Centre
at 4:45 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12.
