Ursula Trpin, 16, ard Lisa On- no, 17, came 11th and 12th respec- tively with totals of 72.00 and 71.65. A division for the top 30 gym- nasts in Canada whose goals are the 1988 Olympics, the High Per- formance level will have its final trials at the end of July in Mon- treal, when the top cight are chosen for the Olympic team. To be on the national team, the young gymnasts have to add another three or four points to their performance. Trpin had her highest showing on the balance beam coming 12th with 18.20, and Onno had her highest total on the floor exercise at 13th with 17.75. In the junior national open divi- sion, the highest piaced B.C. girls were Kristina Lonquist, 15, who came 12th with 71.25; Dawn Geil, 14, at 13th with 70.95; and Krista Onno, 13, at 16th with 70.70. The B.C. team moved up in the medal standings from last year to finish with a total of 175.50, not enough to catch the Ontario stronghold at 182.10, but ahead of Quebec at 172.45. Gilbert came 16th overall with a Lecithin (4200 mg.) Potass (500 mg.) S lympics position total of 68.40, but Geekie had to withdraw from three final events because of a broken thumb.
